The accessibility to many businesses & shops surrounding the hotel; additionally, the hotel was located near a major interchange, making the visit @ the hotel convinent & located easily.
Me and my family had a great stay at the wingate, everybody was outstanding....... From the nice lady at the front desk to the on duity manager and the maids. You guys did a wonderful job,my kid love the hotel and we will be back. The wallace family
The towels were soft; the bed was comfortable; the TV was a nice size; and the room seemed pretty clean. Overall, for the price, I think it was a good value. The staff were friendly.
I had reserved a non-smoking King, but the first room we were given was a smoking double. That seems a little unnecessary; I can't imagine the beds being moved from room to room, so it shouldn't be difficult to know which room is which. Also, I was laying in bed, and was walked in on by staff. They probably knocked, but I didn't hear them. But when they came in they went straight into the bathroom to get the towels, despite my laying there in the bed. Perhaps they thought that they could do it quietly and not wake me. It is wrong to not make sure that the room is unoccupied, before entering.
Staff was friendly
I've stayed at many Wingates in the past. The breakfast at this one was the worst. Bisquits were like brickes, eggs were very runny.
The hotel staff were excellent, the continental breakfast was the best ever.
The beds were too small and no swimming pool. When you go on vacation with children you need a swimming pool.
I liked the breakfast, the excellent service, and the location. It was clean, taken care of real well, and friendly.
I have stayed at various hotels and this had the worst wi-fi I have ever used. It kept saying that it had found problems and my wi-fi would be slowed for the next 10 min. That's ok but it would do this every 15 min. It was like using dial up. During the day I would use my daughter's cable connection and it was great, then come back here and it was terrible. I would get another supplier...when I called the company, I could not understand them.
Staff was very nice, although not particualrly competent. Breakfast was OK, have been staying at Drury Inns in same price range and would rate Drury far superior overall to Wingate on Clairmont in Atlanta.
We decided on Wingate due to workout facilities and High Speed Internet! Result is that I am a full time securities trader, like I make my living trading and selling stocks. When I arrived in our room the Internet was down. I notified the desk and the girl said bring your laptop down and I will try and fix it. I am retired from the IT industry and feel very competent so she gave me the long distance help line. I went downstairs to check their business center well it was down also! The desk said they would call, I missed the remainder of the day trading and ultimately had to call the hotline myself to get the remedy. My wife wanted to work out, she returned to the room and said 3 out of the 4 cardio devices were broken. I went down and complained politely to the girl at the desk, she said she would tell the manager, I never heard from the manager! I am a Rewards Member with Wyndham and have stayed at many of there locations, for 5 months near Dallas on one occassion. Anyway not impressed.
It was okay for the money. It was not as close to the Atlanta Aquarium as I was led to believe from the internet.
I had booked my rooms on line. I had asked for a King and a Double (both NON-Smoking). Check in time was supppose to be 2pm. When we arrived, they said they only had smoking rooms left. I said we have small children and did not want or request smoking rooms. They said they would have to check and get back to us. We waited in the lobby for 30 minutes before we could get our reserved NON-smoking rooms and then we still did not get the king room that we had reserved. We ended up with two double rooms and they weren't even on the same floor. For the breakfast, they were out of several of the items (such as syrup for the waffles--what's the point of putting waffles out if you don't have any syrup for them?). I would not recommend staying here.
Staff werenot particularly service oriented
i did not stay long but i enjoyed the breakfast and the people where very friendly.
It was quiet and the staff were friendly.
Hotel looked NOTHING like the pictures (very deceiving). In the room where I stayed, the bathroom floor was cracked and there are holes in the wall in the shower area (where the wall and the ceiling meets). There were also stains on one of the comforters on the bed and the beds were soooo small...seemed smaller than double beds. Definitely not worth what I paid for it. I expected more from a Wyndham hotel.
The location was ideal for me. It was near downtown (5 min), but not in the congested district and was just off the expressway (I 85 north). The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
The pillows were unusual. There were about six half-size pillows on the king sized bed and no normal size pillows.
Nice facilities and comfortable beds.
The room was hot when we checked in. We checked in late and wanted to go to sleep but had to wait for the room to cool. The breakfast was not very good and we ended up eating out. Thus not saving that money. Not a three star hotel.
They did not have my reservation when I got there. Luckily they had an available room. The hallway smelled of smoke, even though it was a smoke free hotel. The room was smoke free smelling though.
I liked how close it was to where I needed to go.
The jackhammer in the parking lot... Not a real issue but annoying nonetheless
